Chelsey is on the Jessica V Photography Baby Plan. In fact, right now, she is my only active baby plan baby! BUT, much to my joy, I have about 5 babies that will be born VERY soon that are already signed up. Oh, I LURRRRVE me some babies! I think my husband hopes that me working with these babies will curb my extreme desire for 50 children. Unfortunately for him, it only makes it worse! haha.
Chelsey’s mama had some fun ideas for this shoot, so we worked together and brought them to life. Now, if you follow my blog or even drop by occasionally, you’ll know I’m a complete sucker for nostalgia. Complete. If there is an eensy weensy bit of sentimental value to anything, my heart just swells up inside and sighs big sighs.
The baptismal gown Chelsey is wearing in the first part of her session is made of her mother’s wedding dress, and was made by her grandmother. Wow, that’s a bit more than eensy weensy sentimentality!

I know, I know. She’s breathtakingly beautiful. Seriously, it’s HARD to take a bad photo of this child! Also, please note my awesome antique wingback chair that is now available for shoots! LOVE it!
After getting her out of her gown, we decided it was tutu and hat time. I’ve had this little set for quite some time now, and have been waiting for a sweet little girl to wear it!
So, most of the time, Chelsey looks just like her mama to me. However, in this next shot, she looks like her daddy. I think it’s the expression in her eyes.

So, this next shot isn’t perfect in any way. But, sometimes those types of shots end up being my faves anyway. The lighting is a little blown out in the back, and the foreground isn’t focused just right, but I couldn’t resist letting you see her expression! She tried SO hard to get that leaf, and she has such a look of complete satisfaction and accomplishment on her sweet face!

Next, we made our way over to an open field with tall grass. This location is one of my absolute favorites to shoot at! They sadly mow it every spring, but it’s back now!! Kelley has been planning this set up for quite some time! All I did was add some tall grass, she even provided the cute kid! lol.
Again, with the nostalgia…Kelley’s grandmother, which would be Chelsey’s great grandmother MADE the bowl Chelsey is sitting in!

I had a blast at this shoot! I love getting creative and having fun with my sessions! Kelley, I hope I helped bring your ideas to life! Chelsey Ray is adorable!!!
I believe Fall may have peeked out from behind the scalding heat of summer today,
